NBC Pulls "The Michael J. Fox Show" From Schedule

NBC has pulled the plug on The Michael J. Fox Show, effective after the Olympics.

As first reported by Joe Adalian of Vulture, NBC will replace The Michael J. Fox Show with new episodes of Hollywood Game Night.

Perhaps the biggest bomb of the season, The Michael J. Fox Show was supposed to “save NBC”, and many believed it would do well.  Tonight on TV even predicted the show as “very likely” to be successful this season (see here).  Unfortunately for NBC, The Michael J. Fox Show debuted to an okay 2.2 A18-49 demo, but that was its series high.  It’s most recent airing, in a special 9/8c timeslot, did a mere 0.7 A18-49.

No word yet on when the remaining episodes will air (or if they even will).  NBC aired 15 of the 22 episodes in the season order.

Effective February 27th, Hollywood Game Night will air in the timeslot.  The show aired for a few weeks on Monday nights, and its final episode did an okay 1.5 A18-49 demo.  While it will not be a vast improvement, it will be better than nothing.

UPDATE: NBC says the show is not cancelled, and they are looking for a spot on their schedule after April 3rd.
